Cookery School coming to Bakewell!

Hartingtons has had planning permission granted for their Cookery School in Bakewell in the heart of the Peak District and sitting conveniently on the doorstep of Chatsworth House.

Development on the cookery school will start in the Spring and our first cookery courses shortly afterwards.

Any suggestions for the first cookery courses?  We were thinking of kicking off with a bread making course.

Come along to our Spring Food Fair with your suggestions.  We'd love to meet you.

Italian cuisine is generally popular. How about making your own pasta and pizzas including bases, and that old chestnut 'the perfect risotto'. Old chestnuts do of course form an important ingredient in 'stracotto di fagiano' (pheasant stew). How about that too given local availability of that bird in North Derbys.

Great idea. We love the idea of doing some Italian cooking. In fact we are talking to an Italian cook whos speciality is making his own pasta. Also check out our forthcoming Food Fair in Baslow nr Chatsworth. We will have Marco Zerboni from Taste. Marco comes from Rome and many of his dishes have a Northern Italian influence. His Roman pork rolled with garlic and rosemary is superb. Come along and try some..
