Artisan coffee and pancakes

Coffee and pancakes is a mouthwatering combination I think you will agree.

You will be able to get both at our Spring Food Fair at Baslow (nr Chatsworth).

The artisan Brazilian aribica coffee is being made on the day by Azorieblue.  Ask Adrian for a free taster if you don't believe how good coffee can get.

His artisan coffee should be the perfect accompaniment to Double Dutch hot pancakes available both as sweet and savoury snacks.

Now if that doesn't leave a nice taste in your mouth...I don't know what will?

Asian Ice Cream to list in Harvey Nichols

Specialist ice cream maker Yee Kwan who was to be appearing at Hartingtons Spring Food Fair on the 2/3 April has unfortunately had to pull out because she is launching her asian flavoured ice creams in Harvey Nichols at the beginning of April.

We at Hartingtons are obviously disappointed; the good news however is that Yee Kwan still intends coming along to our Taste of Asia food fair taking place at Baslow nr Chatsworth on 8 & 9th October.

All we can say is "congratulations to Yee Kwan on this very exciting news & good luck on the launch"

Pep up your bread making

Any foodies who enjoy baking their own bread know your bread is only as good as the flour that goes into it.

I made one of my best loaves earlier this week. It was, as always, made from a mixture of flour. This time it comprised of white flour, wholemeal, Allison seeded, sunflower seeds and possibly the secret ingredient some Rye Flour from Tuxford Mill.

The great news for those into baking their own bread is Tuxford Windmill has just agreed to come along to Hartingtons Spring Food Fair at Baslow Village Hall (nr Chatsworth). Come along on Sunday 3rd April to meet Paul from Tuxford Windmill and stock up with some freshly milled flour. Your bread will never taste so good!

Asian inspired ice cream

How many of us would associate Asia with ice cream? Not many I would say.

However, I've just returned from travelling around South East Asia for 3 weeks and I can report that this part of the world showers you with all sorts of exotic and unexpected ice cream flavours to tempt and surprise the palate. This was much to the delight of my ice cream loving travelling partner. How about for instance Durian ice cream or even Green Tea and Redbean flavour?

Well the good news for lovers of exotic ice cream is you don't have to travel 14 hours on a plane as I did to experience them. Hartingtons forthcoming Spring Food Fair on the 2nd and 3rd April at Baslow nr Chatsworth will have Sheffield's own Yee Kwan and her Asian inspired ice cream collection. How about lime and lemon grass or black sesame seed to tickle your taste buds?
