This unique menu prepared by Robert Stordy, the University Chef of the Year for 2012, draws on some of the classic Christmas seasonal flavours and gives them a unique and surprising twist. The menu for the 'Alternative' Christmas Feast' is as follows:
Christmas bacon and egg & prawn cocktail canapes

Pumpkin and ricotta gnocchi with roasted squash and sage butter

Salad of smoked salmon with peashoots and cream of horseradish

Elizabethan spiced beef with braised red cabbage and a seasonal selection of locally grown vegetables

The event starts at 7.00 p.m and finishes between 9.30 p.m. and 10.00 p.m. Food and drink are provided by Hartingtons, with all wines and food being included in the £40 ticket price.
