Love baking - so do we!

Love is in the air. Valentines Day is fast approaching. Why not buy something different for your partner for Valentines Day? In fact what could be more romantic than learning to bake Italian Bread TOGETHER.

Since starting Hartingtons in Bakewell at the beginning of 2012 we have had several couples come along to our cookery courses. What amazes me is how much fun they seem to have together. One couple didn't stop laughing during the whole cookery course. At the end of the course they genuinely remarked that it was one of the best things they had ever done. Praise indeed.

So why not park the hum drum for one day. It will still be there when you get back! Come along to Hartingtons and be inspired together.

We love baking bread and we think you will too.

Latest Baslow Food Fair a Fantastic Success!!

What a great show and it certainly was a show. Much more that just a Food Fair......... It was a carnival of Mediterranean Food.

Thanks to everybody who came along and all the great artisan food producers.

Undoubtedly the best Food Fair yet.

Both Julie and I are looking forward to the next Food Fair on the 28th August but first a little rest....

Chatsworth & Flavours of the Med

Anyone visiting Chatsworth House this Sunday (7 August) should try to spare a bit of time to come to Hartingtons Food Fair at Baslow Village Hall.

The August Food Fair from 10.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. features Flavours of the Mediterranean bringing a touch of summer to Baslow.

One of our exhibitors, the Paella Man, will be cooking up an authentic chicken and chorizo paella but will also be doing bacon butties in the morning for those looking for a fortifying breakfast.

He also promises to bring along his own organic rosemary and basil and a selection of his artisan oils.
