We have just got back from our first ever food fair in Baslow nr Chatsworth.
Wow - what a great weekend!
The flood of people didn't stop..........Throngs of walkers who had been exploring the surround countryside, day trippers taking a stroll in Chatsworth Park and foodies making the trip having read about the event in the Sheffield Telegraph and the Derbyshire Times.
There was so much interest from the public in our artisan food producers............
Pete from Real Honey Apairies sold out on the first day of his Heather Honey (36 jars in one day). He ended up having to go back and bottle more early Sunday morning just to keep up with demand!
Not surprising when we saw the hoardes of people with their brown bags leaving the venue. There are certainly going to be a lot of people eating very well this week!
All we can say is thank you to the people that made the effort to visit our first food fair and all those great stallholders that made it such a special event.
We look forward to meeting you at our next food fair on the 7 and 8th of May.

Baslow Food Fair nr Chatsworth
Our first Food Fair to be held in Baslow nr Chatsworth House on the 2nd and 3rd of April is imminent.
I rather feel like an expectant father after all the months of waiting - finally the day has come.
We have so many great food producers and retailers it's hard to know who to feature next.
How about a new business and a taste of the West Country. Ced and Linda have been given exclusive rights to distribute a fantastic Liqueurs direct from Witham Friary.
Some of the fantastic tastes available are Velvets Vodka, fruit liqueurs such as plum and ginger and whisky.
To have a look at their full range of liqueurs have a look at Friary Liqueurs' website.
I'm sure if you ask Ced and Linda nicely you will be able to have a few free tasters. What a great way to sharpen your pallet before a spot of Sunday Dinner!
