Things to do this weekend in the Peak District - Visit Baslow Food Fair and Chatsworth House


Our very popular Peak District -  Baslow Artisan Food and Drink Fair makes a welcome return this weekend and showcases 20 of the best Artisan Food and Drink producers from in and around the Peak District.

The Fair takes place this Sunday 17th June in Baslow Village Hall (with ample parking in the pay and display car park next to the Hall). Doors open at 10.30 a.m. and the event is on until 4.30 p.m. Make sure you come early and have your pick of the fantastic produce on sale.

Stallholders at this event include:

Heavenlies – exquisite cakes and other treats
Dawsons Yard – interesting selection of herbs, edibles such as lettuce and courgettes, herbaceous perennials, ferns and shrubs and planted seasonal containers for summer colour  
The Loaf – artisan bread and bakery products
Muffin Topps – cupcakes and cake pops
Tea Man – wide range of teas and gift packs
Fruit and Herb Company – home made oils, dressings and preserves as well as Derbyshire oatcakes
Nonnas - gourmet food and drink from the Italian deli
Home Kitchen Produce – cookies in a jar
Domaine du Pyre – Beaujolais wines from family vineyard
Halls Home Produce – great range of pates, potted meat, charcuterie and mushy peas
Tindalls of Tideswell – fantastic range of sweet and savoury items
Liberty Foods – artisan pork pies with a modern twist!
Greenside Deli – wide range of bespoke preserves
Heavenly Cheesecake Company – delicious hand made cheesecakes
Hartingtons School of Food – artisan food courses, food events and food tours

And outside all day Lee Capille will be serving gourmet Italian Coffee and his authentic home made chicken and chorizo paella.

Baslow Village Hall is situated right next to the Chatsworth House….. so why not combine a visit to our Peak District Food Fair with a visit to one of the nation’s best loved stately homes which recently featured in a BBC three part documentary and has already made stars of some of the Chatsworth staff!
