Carsington Water Food Festival makes a welcome return this coming Bank Holiday Monday.
This
event promises to be bigger and better than the first ever event held at the
beginning of May with artisan food producers on the day including:
Artisan Bread from Sunflower Bakery, Beer from Derventio Brewery from Darley
Abbey, wine from local producer Amber Valley Wines, artisan pork pies
produced by Smith Hall Organics in Hulland Ward and savoury eggs as
well as cheese from specialist cheese retailer, The Really Good Cheese
Company. Foraged preserves will be available from Greenside Deli and
local producer Glynn Smith will be wowing the crowds with his unique
oils and dressings and Derbyshire Oatcakes. Artisan chocolatier
Chocolate Tailor will showcase their unique chocolates and Matt Wright
from the Great Food Magazine will be promoting local delis, farm shops
and artisan producers whilst organisers, Hartingtons School of Food from
Bakewell with have some unique festival offers.
The Food Festival takes place from 10 am until 4 pm.
